Prin Obi

Prins Obi is the moniker of Georgios Dimakis: composer, pianist, vocalist, music producer and ex-member of Baby Guru. Together they released four official LPs ("Baby Guru", "Pieces", "Marginalia" and "IV"), one mini-album ("Sunshine Special"), five digital EPs and performed live in Greece, Europe and America (Eurosonic, CMJ Music Marathon, Europavox and more).

He produced the debut album of KU, "Feathers", and co-produced its follow-up "Ganja". He has also appeared as a guest on the solo album of King Elephant, on "Sudden Death" by Blend aka Mishkin and on the self-titled LP of No Man's Land, serving as a member of the band for a period. In addition, he was a member of Duke Abduction, who released their debut album "The Curious World of Duke Abduction" in 2010.

His solo work began with the digital EP "Love Songs for Instant Success" (2013), followed by his first album "Notions" (2014). His later releases include "The Age of Tourlou" (2017), "Prins Obi & The Dream Warriors" (2018), the cassette sequel to his debut EP (2019) and the heavy rock project Electric Feat (2020). During the Athenian lockdowns he created "The Grasshopper Lies Heavy" (2021), followed by "New World Boi" (2023). In 2024 he composed the score for the film "The Birthday Party" starring Willem Dafoe, and in 2025 he released his space opera "The Secret Life of Mara Gibb". His other projects include the duo GAMMAGAMMA and his hip-hop alias Dim Goblin.
