Vagelis (formerly LAGASTA) is a Greek DJ and electronic music producer. He first gained recognition as part of the acclaimed project LAGASTA, known for its distinctive edits, remixes, and influential blog/label spotlighting emerging electronic sounds.
Today, he is one half of the internationally recognized duo Boys’ Shorts, alongside Tareq. Their music blends house, disco, slow techno, and acid, with releases on respected labels such as Permanent Vacation, HE.SHE.THEY., Polari Records, Future Disco, and Correspondant. Their track “New Era” reached No.1 on Beatport and was featured on Germany’s Radio Eins chart, while The New York Times named them among “5 Artists to Watch” in 2025.
They have remixed artists such as Alison Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, Boy George, Poolside, Yuksek x Polo & Pan, and Kasper Bjørke, establishing their reputation as one of the most exciting acts in contemporary electronic music.
