With a new EP out, Cyanna establish their leading role in the local independent pop-rock music scene. Cyanna (See-ana) is a rock band that combines elements from the electronic scene, garage echoes and modern industrial style. Their debut album ‘Touch It’ was released in 2004. Their second album ‘Just A Crush’ (SONY) offered them a nomination in MTV European Music Awards in the ‘Best Greek Group’ category. Their song ‘Shine’ from this album was chosen by Vodafone Greece for their 2009 major campaign. Their third album ‘End Is Near’ (SONY) gained great reviews from the music press and blogs. Their next step, after leaving Sony Music, was to create their own label, Oxymoron, releasing the ‘Undressed’ EP in 12’’ vinyl and CD with four new tracks that confirm their status in the scene. They have collaborated with the highly acclaimed singer Dimitra Galani and their cover of legendary Greek composer Attik was included in the Metropolis Press compilation. Notorious for their live performances, Nick Sid (keyboards), Spyreas Syd (vocals), Anthony Ka (guitars), Jason Tatsis (drums) and Nais Font (bass) have shared the stage with artists and groups like MGMT, Stranglers, IAMX, Fischerspooner and Gorillaz Soundsystem. They have performed in festivals and concerts in Bulgaria, Switzerland and Germany.
